FSMI General Secretary Y. Kiran Chandra has filed a writ petition in Delhi High Court with a plea demanding Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN) to investigate large scale data breaches in the country. FSMI over the past several months has sent several representations to CERT-IN, requesting them to act on data breaches in the country and provide us a response under their citizen charter. CERT-IN has not replied to any of our representations forcing us to send a legal notice which also did not yield any tangible response.

After taking legal advice from our advocates Prasanth Sugathan and Prasanna S, Y. Kiran Chandra(FSMI General Secretary) has filed a writ petition in Delhi High Court. The Petition WP(C) 8406/2021 - Y Kiran Chandra v Union of India was listed in the court room of Honorable Judge Rekha Palli. The matter has been further posted for September 23^rd when Union of India is expected to respond to our petition.
